If you received this Notice, you have been identified as someone who, at some time between April 2, 2016 and March 21, 2023, may have had your finger, hand, facial, or other biometric data obtained and stored by PeopleNet for timekeeping purposes within the state of Illinois.

What Is This Class Action All About?

The Settlement would resolve a lawsuit brought on behalf of persons who allege that PeopleNet Corporation (“PeopleNet” or “Defendant”) obtained and stored individuals’ biometrics in Illinois for timekeeping purposes without first providing them with legally required written disclosures and obtaining written consent.

If you received a notice for the PeopleNet BIPA Settlement, you have been identified as someone who, at some time between April 2, 2016, and March 21, 2023, may have had your finger, hand, facial, or other biometric data obtained and stored by PeopleNet for timekeeping purposes within the state of Illinois.

The Court has granted Preliminary Approval of the Settlement and has conditionally certified the Settlement Class for purposes of settlement only

Who Is Eligible?

The settlement benefits all class members whose finger, hand, facial, or other biometric data was obtained and stored by PeopleNet Corporation for timekeeping purposes within the state of Illinois between April 2, 2016, and March 21, 2023.

How To Be Part of This Settlement

For class member to partake in this settlement, class members must submit a valid claim form on the settlement website by July 24, 2023. You may exclude yourself from the Settlement. The deadline to exclude yourself is July 3, 2023.

If you wish to object, write to the Court about why you do not support the Settlement. The deadline to file an objection is July 3, 2023.

What Is The Pay For This Settlement?

If you do not file a claim, you will receive no money from the Settlement Fund, but you will still be bound by all orders and judgments of the Court. The pay varies and the proof of purchase is not necessary.
