What Is This Class Action All About?
You can receive one of the following benefits: (a) free repair of the Display Defect; (b) $100.00; or (c) compensation, of up to $100.00, for money spent on a previous repair (either by Lenovo or a third party) of the Display Defect. You must submit a Claim Form and all required information to receive any of these benefits.
Get out of the lawsuit and the Settlement. This is the only option that allows you to ever bring or join another lawsuit raising the same legal claims against the Defendant. You will receive no Cash Payment, nor repair under this Settlement, and you will not be able to object to this Settlement.
If you do not opt out, you may write to the Court about why you do not like the Settlement or the request for legal fees and costs.
(If you object to any aspect of the Settlement, you must file an objection via the Court’s electronic filing system (if represented by counsel) or to send the objection to the Claims Administrator and mail a copy to Defense Counsel and Class Counsel via first-class postage prepaid mail by the Deadline.
Who Is Eligible?
This settlement benefits all individuals who purchased one of the following laptops:
- Lenovo Yoga 730 laptop computer machine type 81CT, 81CU, or 81JS, purchased in the United States from January 26, 2018 to April 10, 2023, excluding any laptop computers that were manufactured after June 19, 2019;
- Lenovo Flex 5 laptop computer machine type 81CA purchased in the United States from August 14, 2017 to April 10, 2023, excluding any laptop computers that were manufactured after June 19, 2019; or
- Lenovo Flex 5 laptop computer machine types 80XB, 80XA, or 81C9, purchased in the United States from March 9, 2017 to April 10, 2023.
How To Be Part of This Settlement
For class member to partake in this settlement, class members must submit a valid claim form on the settlement website.
You must submit a Claim Form by January 3, 2024 to receive a free repair or any money.
You must exclude yourself from the Settlement by August 21, 2023.
You must file or send the written objection to the Court no later than August 16, 2023.
What Is The Pay For This Settlement?
The pay for this settlement varies and the proof of purchase is necessary.
If you fail to file a valid claim, you will not receive any Cash Payment or free repair, and you will have no right to sue later for the claims released by the Settlement.
