This is a scam. I, too, received a fake Cartier ring when I ordered a guide book for central Idaho. They listed an address in Illinois so I thought they were legit. Stupid me. The site I ordered from was called TouringOutdoors. They did correspond with me but in horrible English. Said they stopped selling the book so they couldn’t send the correct item. They offered to refund 20% of my purchase price – not the full amount. Plus, they charged a currency exchange fee which was not mentioned ANYWHERE on the TouringOutdoors site. My credit card company refunded my money but I’m iffy to cancel the card & get a new # card. Only reason I’m not is because I have so many bills automatically taken out each month – would be a total pain. I might regret that decision. AVOID the site at all costs!
Same exact experience. 100% fraud. I ordered from a different URL but the emails came from a fbagonline email address. Should have trusted my instincts when ordering.
I know – I can’t believe I didn’t pick up on the poor English on the website! Many, many emails from the fbagonline email address offering deals on future purchases, claiming they were only the shipper & got paid very little, thus couldn’t refund all of my purchase (my credit card gave me my money back from my original purchase – which was only for a hiking guide book for $24). What’s really kind of funny but definitely not worth all the hassle is I sold the stupid fake Cartier ring on eBay for $85! I very clearly stated it was fake. I filed a report with our state attorney general’s office but have no clue if it will do one bit of good. Only thing I could come up with to do other than comment on pages like this.
Should’ve known something wasn’t right about this bunch of scammers coming out of Flushing NY. Which is the middle of China section of the city.
