Have you stumbled on Egg Pod and want to know if it works and if it is worth your money? Great! Read this review to find out more about Egg Pod
What is Egg Pod
Egg Pod is a microwave egg cooker and peeler. If you put an egg in a regular container in the microwave, it will explode. The reason that Egg Pod works is because the eggs are enclosed in aluminum that blocks the microwaves. The eggs are actually cooked from the steam and not microwave radiation. There is a bottom aluminum insert that the eggs sit in and a top aluminum insert that fits into the top plastic cover. The product is designed to make hard-boiled eggs. Soft-boiled eggs will be too soft for the shake and peel function. 9 minutes is an average cook item for 4 eggs in a standard microwave. You can adjust by 30 second increments to cook the eggs exactly how you like them
COOLING & PEELING
You must cool the eggs for 2 minutes before peeling. The cold water makes the egg contract and makes peeling of the shell easier. You can run cold water for 2 minutes, or simply add fresh water and add ice cubes, then wait 2 minutes.
Do not remove the water/ice before shaking. The water is necessary for the peeling process.
Shake firmly, up and down, 10 times. If the shells don’t fall right off, it’s because you didn’t shake it hard enough.
Inasmuch as the Egg Pod looks legit, the main concern of this review is to ascertain if it lives up to its name, and this review would expose all that is needed to know about it.
Does Egg Pod Really work?
There are so many reviews online on the Egg pod, while some claims it works just fine, others claim that it does not work, while some say it works for the first few days and stops. Others complained of eggs exploding.
I was so excited to get my EggPod. I read through the instructions and watched the video.
I got everything going in the microwave.
Four minutes in, the microwave door blew open with a loud bang. There was exploded egg everywhere. The EggPod itself did not explode. The eggs inside did. There were egg guts everywhere. Inside the microwave, the door, the cabinet and the floor.
I looked into getting a refund and discovered that I would not get back the shipping and handling and I would have to pay to have it shipped back in order to get a refund. This is not worth the hastle. Forget it, but I will tell my friends to NOT order one.

Love the egg pod works great. Eliminates the water mess when shaking pod to remove shells. In a pot method using egg brought to room temp first I would bring water in a pot to boil first then put in eggs, letting slow boil for 12 min. Then drain out hot water add cold water add lid then shake (water would still splash out with lid on pot – messy). But now with the egg pod it is much easier. Haven’t tried using eggs right out of fridge yet to see if that makes any difference. Will try and see if I can eliminate the hours of letting eggs come to room temp first. Only down side is with pot method I could cook large number of eggs at a time instead of only 4. But I still prefer the egg pod.

It works. I really like it. It works just like the ad said’s it does. And the eggs turns out pealed. It is totally worth the cost. Even if you don’t want a hard boil eggs all the time it it worth buying.
