Avowed: Release date, platforms, gameplay -

Here’s everything we know about Avowed from the Xbox 2023 Showcase.

Obsidian Entertainment is known for making very high-quality RPGs over the years, with Knights of the Old Republic 2 and Pillars of Eternity of significant note, so for them to show off Avowed now is fantastic for the future.

Avowed release date

Good times are ahead, gamers. Microsoft and Obsidian grace us with a 2024 release date, from the line of Phil Spencer himself.

Platform

Avowed to be released solely on the PC and Xbox Series platforms. It is unusual for Microsoft to release any titles outside their own platforms, but if things are different this time around, we will make sure to keep you informed.

Will Avowed gameplay?

Avowed seems to be a first-person RPG similar to Skyrim. We caught a glimpse of a character with dual-wielding firearms as well as magic and swordplay. Considering Avowed is set in the Pillars of Eternity universe, this isn’t that surprising, but it was still very much welcomed.
