These files can be in various formats, e.g., Microsoft Office and PDF documents, archives (ZIP, RAR, etc.), executables (.exe, .run, etc.), JavaScript, and so on. Upon being opened, infectious files trigger malware download/installation. It is advised against opening suspicious and irrelevant emails.
